The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) is a four-year college degree that provides a liberal arts and sciences background. With a BSN degree you will:
Lakeview College of Nursing offers several BSN curriculum tracks to help you achieve your BSN degree at the pace and focus right for you. You may choose from one of these tracks once you have completed preliminary coursework and have been admitted into the program.
16 Month Plan - Includes a summer session. You do not need a prior baccalaureate degree to accelerate the program.
21 Month Plan - Does not include a summer session. You can experience a summer internship/externship if desired.
23-28 Month Plan – Has fewer credit hours per semester than other tracks. This allows students who are not used to being enrolled in more than 12 credit hours/semester to be successful.
These tracks are for those who are already working in the nursing profession. Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses will receive credit for their previous education and skills through exemptions, proficiencies and portfolio options.
It may be possible to enroll on a part-time basis (fewer than 12 credit hours per semester). However, priority for admission (pre-licensure) is granted first to those wishing to pursue full-time study. If you are admitted with a part-time status an individualized degree plan will be formulated based upon the number of credit hours you would like to take within a given semester.
